Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position; candidates must have FL or compact RN license, as well as recent Cath Lab experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- 13-bed unit supported by a multidisciplinary team including RNs and CVTs
- Typical procedures include left and right heart caths, peripherals, structural heart, and EP
- Patient ratio is typically 1:3
- Day shift schedule from 7:00am to 5:30pm or until all cases are completed
- After-hours, weekend, and major holiday call required
- Uses Phillips and GE equipment
- Documentation with Meditech and Mac Lab
- Must be flexible and able to function independently in a fast-paced environment
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Team consists of 30 staff members including RNs and Cardiovascular Technologists
- On-call coverage is required for night shifts, weekends, and major holidays
Requirements
- Active Florida or compact RN license required
- Current AHA or ARC certifications in BLS and ACLS required
- Minimum of 1 year recent Cath Lab experience required
- Must submit US Social Security Number and date of birth for consideration
- Two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri; otherwise, one reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility; no local candidates accepted
