Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg General Surgery/Trauma night shift position requiring an active NY RN license and recent EPIC experience.

Details

• Work in the General Surgery/Trauma unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift position, 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient population includes general surgery and trauma cases
• EPIC EMR is used and prior EPIC experience is required
• Floating to other units may be required
• No blocked scheduling is allowed

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Med-Surg General Surgery/Trauma
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• EPIC EMR experience required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Flu vaccine required with only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional accepted
• US Social Security Number required

Additional Information

• Competency testing is required with two attempts allowed for MS applicants with less than two years' experience
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period will result in contract termination and make-up shifts are required within six weeks
• Requested time off must be included at the time of submission
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
• Candidates cannot reside within a 50-mile radius of excluded counties: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• Only one submission per traveler is allowed
