Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN to join the Critical Care Float Pool for night shifts, requiring a current NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Critical Care Float Pool across various ICU units in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:00
- Minimum contract length is 13 weeks
- Patients and responsibilities vary across neuro, surgical, and medical ICUs
- EPIC EMR is used and prior experience with this system is required
- Competency testing must be completed with up to two attempts allowed
- No local candidates accepted who reside within a 50 mile radius in specified counties
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- More than 3 call outs during a 13 week assignment will result in contract termination, with makeup shifts required within 6 weeks
- RTO must be requested at the time of submission
- Travel pairs are not allowed
- Travelers may only submit to one position at a time
Requirements
- Active NY RN license is required at time of consideration
- A minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience is required
- Certifications from AHA or RQI must be current and included
- Must have prior experience using Epic EMR
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- Must provide US Social Security Number; Canadian SIN not accepted
- Flu vaccination required unless medically exempt with documentation
