Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in a Level I Trauma Center requiring a CT or compact RN license and trauma center experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a short-term acute care hospital
- Typical patient ratios are 1:5 to 1:6 during day shifts
- This is a night shift role with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Every other weekend is required
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
- Epic EMR is used and experience is preferred
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- No on-call responsibilities are required
- Travelers must participate in facility emergency response activities as needed
- No local candidates accepted; must live at least 75 miles from facility
- Facility will automatically approve up to 7 days of requested time off
- Scrub color or dress code requirements will be provided by the facility
Requirements
- Active CT or compact RN license required (pending accepted but must be active prior to start date)
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
- Experience in a large trauma center required
- Current BLS certification required
- Flu vaccine required without exceptions
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster required unless religious or medical exemption applies
- Candidates with previous permanent employment at this facility must have been gone at least 2 years to be considered
