Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a GA or compact license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and willingness to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Medical-surgical ICU unit caring for adult to geriatric patients
• Patient population includes acute and critical cases such as sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, GI bleeds, renal disease, and more
• Responsibilities include assisting with advanced procedures like CRRT, TTM, chest tubes, central and arterial line maintenance, and peritoneal dialysis
• Patient ratio is 1:2-3 with 15 beds and an average daily census of 12
• Uses Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR systems
• Night shift position with 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Floating to other units required as needed
• Every other weekend shift required
• No on-call requirements
• Must wear navy blue scrubs
• Up to 7 days of requested time off allowed, but none in the first week of assignment
• Holiday coverage is required in accordance with the number of major holidays within the contract period
• Not eligible for return if employed at any Piedmont facility within the past year
• Travel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift on the same unit
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule; start date may be delayed if compliance is not met on time

Requirements

• Active GA or compact state RN license required
• Minimum one year of ICU RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Must provide two supervisory references (manager or above) for consideration
• Compliance with all credentialing requirements needed to start on time
