Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient Rehab unit requiring a NY RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an inpatient rehab unit within a hospital setting
• Primary patient population includes stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injuries
• Day shift, 3x12 hour schedule from 11:00 to 23:00
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 1:5, Nights 1:12
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• Floating required to medical-surgical units
• Utilizes Hoyer lift and sit-to-stand lift equipment
• Epic EMR preferred
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Maximum 1 week of requested time off allowed per contract
• Team will try to accommodate block scheduling but it is not guaranteed
• Three call-offs permitted per 13-week contract; on-call shifts count toward this total

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of application
• Current BLS certification required
• At least 1 year of acute rehab hospital experience required
• Experience with CVA patients preferred
• No local candidates within 75 miles of the facility eligible
