Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience and required certifications for an acute care hospital position.
Responsibilities
- Work in a level 3 trauma acute care hospital, 171 beds
- Primarily assigned to the catheterization lab, working with cardiac and peripheral procedures as well as device implants
- 1:1 patient/procedure ratio
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with frequent on-call shifts including weekends and holidays
- Expected on-call coverage is 10–12 days per month
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must be proficient in cardiac and peripheral procedures and device implantation
- Scrub color varies by unit
- Free parking available
- No more than 5 days off (RTO) allowed during the 13-week assignment and no RTO around holidays
- No additional RTO allowed after contract submission or during assignment
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Zero-fault attendance policy applies; missing two shifts results in a warning, three or more may result in contract cancellation
- No first-time travelers accepted for this role
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent cath lab experience
- ARRT R or CCI RCIS preferred; BLS and ACLS required
- X-ray Technologist or RCIS credentials accepted if paired with required experience
- Must have Epic charting experience
- License required if applicable
- Must have completed at least two previous travel assignments with no performance or attendance issues
- Pending license not accepted
