Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Unit night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, and at least one year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Stepdown Unit of a short-term acute care hospital
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Patient ratios typically 1:4-5
- May float to sister Level 3 or 2 units as needed
- Level III Trauma hospital setting
- Uses Cerner EMR system
- No on-call responsibilities; extra shifts optional
- Every other weekend is required
- Required to work 1 holiday per 13-week assignment
- Travelers may be called off up to two times per assignment
- Required to wear royal blue scrubs
- Parking is provided at no cost
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license, or eligibility with active license by start date
- Minimum 1 year of recent stepdown or telemetry nursing experience
- Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required
- Experience with telemetry and IV starts required
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
