Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Tech experienced in pediatric and vascular sonography for a 3x12 hour day shift assignment with on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a pediatric hospital setting within the general ultrasound department
  • Primarily performs scans on pediatric patients, including renal, pylorus, intussusception, neonatal head, appendix, some vascular, and soft tissue exams
  • Majority of overnight exams are portable studies, with flexibility to bring patients to the department or perform bedside in the ER
  • Day shift schedule on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
  • On-call required approximately every third week on weekdays, with backup tech support always available
  • The department is staffed 24/7
  • Main responsibilities include independently performing a wide range of pediatric ultrasound exams and portable imaging
  • NICU exams frequently performed during overnight hours
  • Support available from a backup call tech as needed
  • Training is provided as necessary for unfamiliar studies
  • Position involves a team-based work environment with ample support

Requirements

  • ARDMS certification required
  • Pediatric ultrasound experience required
  • Vascular ultrasound experience preferred
  • Ability to perform portable and bedside exams
  • Comfortable working independently, especially during overnight hours
  • License required if applicable
