Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with night shifts and floating requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit in a short-term acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00)
• Patient ratios are 1:5-6
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• Expected to float between Med/Surg Tele units at multiple locations within the system
• Epic is used for charting and EMR documentation
• Provide nursing care for adult patients on the Med/Surg Tele unit
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• RTO (requested time off) subject to manager approval
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent MS/Tele experience
• Current BLS certification required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Pending licenses are not accepted
• Applicants must live at least 50 miles from work locations
• Must be away for 1 year if previously employed as staff
• Maximum of 2 contracts before a required 6-month break
