Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position at a Level 1 Trauma and Academic Center requiring both IR and critical care background.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a hospital setting
- Level 1 Trauma, Stroke, and STEMI Center with academic focus
- Perform advanced IR procedures such as Shockwave, Angiovac, kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty, Y90 treatments, various shunts, Spaceoar, biopsies, stenting, vasospasm management, drain placements, and embolizations
- Average case volume is 20 cases per day with 6 IR rooms
- Day shift with four 10-hour shifts (7:00–17:30)
- Assigned on-call duties averaging 8-10 days per month, including weekends
- Use of EPIC EMR is required
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Free onsite parking is available to staff
- Block scheduling is not available
- All requested time off must be submitted with the application; subsequent requests are at manager discretion
- Local candidates within a 70-mile radius are not eligible
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license, or eligibility for a pending license
- Minimum of 1 year of IR experience plus 1 year of experience in ED or ICU
- Current certifications in BCLS and ACLS
- Two professional supervisor references from the past 2 years required
