Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer with vascular and pediatric/adult experience and current BLS and RVT or RVS certification.

Responsibilities

Position is in a vascular testing unit at a Level II Trauma Center
Variable 40-hour schedule with shifts flexing between 5x8, 4x10, and periodic weekend in-house and call
Requires flexibility between main campus and Outpatient Imaging Center as needed
Patient population includes both pediatric and adult cases
Uses Cerner EMR
Responsibilities include performing vascular ultrasound studies as assigned
Support team includes a lead tech and physician support
Must be willing to float between main campus and affiliated outpatient center as department needs change
Scrubs of any solid professional color are acceptable or may be provided by the facility
Free parking is available for staff
Weekend in-house and call shifts required every 4-6 weeks with infrequent call backs
Influenza vaccination required for start dates after 9/30/2024; medical exemptions considered with appropriate documentation and advance notice
Manager interviews required
Time off requests subject to manager approval

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year experience in vascular sonography
Experience with both pediatric and adult patients is required
Current BLS and RVT or RVS certification required
Must possess a compact or Maine license if applicable
At least 2 years total relevant experience required for consideration
Will not accept first-time travelers
Candidates must live at least 100 miles south/southwest of the facility
Candidates must not have been a permanent employee at any Northern Light Health Hospital
