Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN Case Manager with utilization review experience, active MT or compact RN license, and at least two years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Work within a hospital environment in a Case Management and Utilization Review role
• Adult med-surg patient population
• Day shift schedule from 7:30am to 4:30pm with weekend rotations
• May require on-call work as needed to meet organizational or patient needs
• Position requires sustained attendance and flexibility to work beyond standard hours
• Responsible for developing and implementing individualized case management plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Ongoing monitoring, assessment, and adjustment of care plans to achieve patient goals
• Facilitates integration of services for members including behavioral health and community support
• Requires strong judgment, discretion, and professional communication skills
• Handles emotionally challenging situations with patients and families
• May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, and infectious diseases
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and 2 years acute care case manager experience are preferred qualifications

Requirements

• Active Montana or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Must have utilization review experience
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Must live at least 90 miles from the facility for consideration
• Ability to perform frequent physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and fine-finger movements
• Proficiency in computer applications, MS Office, EMR, and internet applications
