Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a surgical ACE unit, requiring BLS/ACLS and documented Med/Tele experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is on a 32-bed Surgical ACE unit caring for adult and older adult patients
• Patient ratio is 1:5, primarily managing trauma cases and patients on Heparin drips
• Night shift, 12 hours per shift, three shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Specialty equipment includes gait belts, geriatric chairs, and physical therapy equipment
• Trauma patient care and administration of all acute medications as ordered are expected responsibilities
• Skilled nursing, rehab, or NICHE training is a plus
• Must provide two supervisory references from similar experience within the past two years
• First time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Documented Med/Surg Telemetry experience with completed skills checklist
• Prior experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Experience in a hospital setting caring for adult and older adult populations
