Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with strong ortho, robotics, and endovascular skills along with a NH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the hospital's Operating Room with 10 OR suites and a 1:1 RN to patient ratio
• Shift is 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, 13-week contract
• Uses advanced equipment such as DaVinci Robot, Endovascular Suite, Neurospine microscope, and hysteroscopy pump
• Procedures include ortho, robotics, GYN, urology, vascular, endovascular, and neuro cases
• EMR system is Altera
• End of shift short call until 7 PM or 9 PM is required, averaging about one call shift per week
• Friday and Saturday night call (7 PM–7 AM) required, averaging 1-2 overnights every 6 weeks
• No floating to other units
• Handle a wide range of surgical procedures including ortho, robotics, gynecology, urology, vascular, endovascular, and neuro
• Join a large, experienced perioperative team with over 50 staff members
• Orientation and integration into a collaborative, hard-working OR environment
• Neuro experience is preferred for expanded call coverage
• Scrubs provided by the operating room
• Professional references required per state guidelines

Requirements

• Active NH or compact state RN license required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent OR RN experience
• Demonstrated skills in orthopedics, total joints, general surgery, robotics, basic endovascular procedures, urology, and neuro
• Experience with EMR systems, Altera preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the last 12 months
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
