Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist with at least one year of experience and ARRT (R), SCRQSA (R), and BLS certification for a diverse radiology role in a Level III Trauma acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a Level III Trauma, acute care hospital
• Provides radiology services in OR, orthopedics, fluoroscopy, inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room settings
• Serves adult and pediatric patient populations
• Scheduled for four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call rotation required, including weekend coverage
• Floating required within radiology departments according to facility needs
• Epic EMR is used; experience preferred
• Position involves applying ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes in multiple clinical areas
• Must wear teal top and black bottom scrubs
• No cost for parking onsite
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Must provide all requested time off at application; approval subject to facility need
• Locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis with a 60-mile radius rule applied
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated for 1 year before accepting a traveler assignment
• Completion of pre-start training modules is required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year X-Ray Technologist experience in relevant settings
• Active ARRT (R), SCRQSA (R), BLS, and CPR certifications required (AHA certifications only)
• Fluoroscopy and OR radiology experience required
• Radiation badge required; must be provided by applicant
• Ability to perform radiographic procedures with independent judgment and initiative
• SSN and valid driver's license required for consideration
• License required if applicable
