Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an X-Ray Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and current ARRT (R) certification for a role requiring fluoroscopy and OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a Level III Trauma, acute care hospital
• Provides radiologic services across inpatient, outpatient, ER, OR, and orthopedics settings
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Covers a variety of procedures, including fluoroscopy and operating room cases
• 5x8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Includes on-call rotation for weekends and after hours
• Floating required within radiology to meet facility needs
• Uses Philips and Toshiba equipment
• Preferred charting system is Epic, with experience preferred
• Performs radiographic procedures with a high degree of technical competency
• Expected to act with initiative and minimal supervision
• Must follow teal top and black bottom scrub color policy
• Orientation modules must be completed prior to start date
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Locals within a 60-mile radius may be considered at a lower rate
• All requested time off must be submitted up front; late RTO requests will not be accepted
• Former staff (including PRN) must be separated from the system for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Parking is provided at no cost
• During hurricane season (June-November), participation in emergency response teams may be required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of radiologic technologist experience
• Current ARRT (R), SCRQSA (R), BLS, and CPR certifications required
• Experience with fluoroscopy and operating room procedures required
• Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
• License required if applicable
• Ability to work with all patient age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Driver's License and SSN required for consideration
