Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a Short Stay unit night shift assignment requiring a current NY RN license and EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is on the Short Stay C6 unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:00
• 13-week contract assignment
• Patient population consists primarily of short stay adult medical-surgical cases
• Requires use of EPIC EMR system
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Competency testing required for candidates with less than 2 years of experience, with up to two attempts allowed
• No local candidates will be considered if residing within Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
• More than three call outs in 13 weeks may result in contract termination and make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks
• RTO (requested time off) must be declared at the time of submission
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
• Travelers may only be considered for one position at a time at this facility

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience
• Current AHA or RQI certifications (BLS required, others as applicable)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the previous 12 months
• US Social Security Number required (no Canadian SINs accepted)
• Medical exemption for flu vaccine must be signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious declinations not accepted
