Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring ED experience and current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department setting
  • Patient ratio is typically 1:4
  • Night shifts, four 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend and holiday required
  • Float within skillset as needed
  • General ED cases including triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy
  • Provide emergency nursing care for both adult and pediatric populations
  • Participation in team-based patient care alongside interdisciplinary staff
  • All candidates are required to float within their skillset
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage is mandatory
  • Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted

Requirements

  • Active MD or compact RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
  • Previous travel nurse experience required
  • Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
  • Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least an 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
  • Skills in triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy required
  • TNCC, CPI, and MAB certifications preferred
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
