Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on night shift, requiring a MD or compact license and every other weekend availability.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit setting
  • Night shifts are 3x12 hours (20:00-08:30), with option for 4x12 hours
  • Every other weekend rotation is required
  • Holidays are worked as scheduled
  • Travelers may float to specialty, sister units, and lower acuity units as needed
  • No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required
  • Provide nursing care to adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients
  • Floating occurs within specialty and to lower acuity units
  • Holiday coverage is required based on unit scheduling

Requirements

  • Active RN license in Maryland or a compact state
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Open to first-time travelers
