Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in California requiring a CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and strong PACU skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- 8-hour day shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Care for patients recovering from anesthesia, including airway and pain management
- Role includes assignments in pre-operative and extended care areas
- May be required to float to other campus locations based on staffing needs
- Must demonstrate flexibility to float between multiple units and campuses as needed
- Care for patients through all phases of post-anesthesia recovery
- Team-oriented work environment with a focus on high-acuity care
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience required
- Experience with airway management, anesthesia recovery, and pain management required
- CCRN or CPAN certification preferred
- Critical care experience of at least 2 years preferred
