Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a temporary Clinic RN specializing in Oncology at an ambulatory and inpatient unit, requiring CA RN license and recent oncology experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in an Oncology Clinic caring for both acute admitted inpatients and ambulatory patients
- Based in a clinic setting with required floating to other local facilities as needed
- Day shifts with varying start times, typically 7:00-15:30 or 9:00-17:30
- May be required to move and transfer total lift patients with assistive devices
- Float policy allows reassignment to different departments, units, or facilities within a 75+ mile radius
- Responsible for inpatient care and communication for admitted patients as well as ambulatory patient needs
- May work in multiple locations and must adapt to varying settings within the health system
- Preferred experience includes radiation oncology and wound care management
- Prior academic teaching hospital experience preferred
- Training modules are required before the start of the assignment
- Requests for time off must be included at the time of offer and are subject to approval
- Clinical pairs are permitted, but pairs will generally not be placed in the same unit
- Compliance with float policy is required throughout the assignment
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- BSN required
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years RN experience
- At least 2 years of recent experience in acute care, med/surg, or ICU
- At least 1 year of recent oncology nursing experience required
- Recent ambulatory nursing experience required
- Prior travel assignment completed within the past 12 months required
- IV experience required
- COVID vaccination and booster required, with proof required for consideration
