Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a cardiac IR unit requiring ARRT certification, CT experience, and specialized IR procedure skills.
Responsibilities
- Position based in interventional radiology with crossover to CT procedures
- Work primarily day shifts with weekend and on-call coverage required
- Required to work independently in IR procedure rooms and provide on-call coverage for trauma cases
- Departments use GE and Siemens equipment for imaging and interventions
- Caseload includes angio procedures such as TIPS and angioplasty, as well as thrombectomy (PE/Stroke)
- Scrub and circulator experience in the IR environment is required
- COVID vaccine and booster, plus seasonal flu vaccine required unless medical exemption granted
- Pass/Fail Tele/ECG and Medication tests may be required
- Weekly orientation starts every Monday, except holidays
- No local candidates within a 50-mile radius considered except on a case-by-case basis
- All previous employees must have a 6-month break from employment before returning
- RTO (time off) requests must be presented at time of consideration
- Parking at the facility can cost up to $43/day in some locations
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years IR experience required
- Completion of vocational or technical training in Radiologic Technology is required
- Current MA radiologic technologist license required if applicable
- Current ARRT certification required, with both CT and IR modalities
- Strong thrombectomy device experience (PE/Stroke) required
- Ability to independently manage IR/CT procedure workload, including trauma call
- Scrub and circulator experience required
