Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a General Ultrasound Tech for independent 12-hour weekend shifts with broad ultrasound competencies required.

Responsibilities

• Position is for a general ultrasound technologist in a hospital setting
• Work independently during Fri-Sun, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM shifts, with Saturday on-call 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM
• Role involves performing a variety of ultrasound examinations including OB, general, echo, abdominal, small parts, and vascular studies
• Charting is done with Meditech and prior experience is strongly preferred
• Technologist will be working alone and must be confident performing all required studies without direct supervision
• Orientation includes non-billable modules averaging 8 hours, completed during onboarding
• Travel pairs are accepted
• Holiday time off is not approved for this position
• Must include all requested time off with application submission

Requirements

• State license required if applicable
• Relevant ultrasound certification required
• Ability to independently perform OB, general, echo, abdominal, small parts, and vascular ultrasound procedures
• Experience with Meditech EMR strongly preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver’s license and Social Security card required for consideration
