Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a NJ or compact RN license, with strong MST and trauma hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with medical-surgical telemetry (MST) patient population
• Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with every other weekend required
• Position includes 36-hour work weeks
• Patients are cared for in a large, Level 1 trauma hospital environment
• Must be able to care for patients with complex medical and post-surgical needs
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage may be required
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must submit the last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth for consideration

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in MST or PCU setting required
• Experience at a large Level 1 trauma hospital required
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Proof of COVID vaccination and at least one booster, with religious exemptions accepted
• Flu vaccination required
