Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg position requiring an active KS or compact RN license, BLS certification, and at least one year of hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a combined Medical and Surgical unit with 50 beds, serving general medical, cardiology, pulmonary, neurology, nephrology, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, and ENT patients
• Staffing ratio goal is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Hospitalist coverage available 24 hours
• Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00 with every other weekend required
• 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week
• Responsibilities include care for a diverse Med/Surg patient population including post-surgical and complex medical cases
• MOAB De-Escalation Training and NIH Certification recommended
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
• All positions are auto offer
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate as per state-specific radius rules
• Two references and skills checklist required for consideration
• Must request any time off at submission

Requirements

• Active KS RN license or compact multistate RN license
• At least 1 year of hospital RN experience
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Nursys verification and license/certificate primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver’s License required
