Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a current MA RN license and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient ratios range between 1:3 and 1:5
• Role requires floating to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units in 4-hour blocks as needed
• Position involves care for varied patient populations, including telemetry and post-operative cases
• Epic is the primary EMR system used; experience is required
• Every other weekend is required, including Saturday/Sunday for day shifts and Friday/Saturday/Sunday for night shifts
• Must provide quality nursing care for Med/Surg Telemetry patients and adapt to various care units when floating
• Relias practice modules available to help prepare for required testing
• Parking costs may be up to $43 per day depending on location
• Dress code and scrub requirements not specified
• First-time travelers will only be considered if they have Level 1 trauma experience
• Holiday coverage and specific RTO rules not specified

Requirements

• Active MA RN license in hand is required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred or required if no prior travel experience
• Must have been separated from any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility for a minimum of 6 months to be eligible
• No local candidates allowed; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Must pass Tele/ECG and medication administration testing on day one
• COVID vaccine and booster, and flu vaccine required; medical exemptions allowed
