Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Massachusetts requiring Epic experience and MA RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient ratios range from 1:3-5
• Expected to float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units in 4-hour blocks per shift
• Every other weekend required, with weekend shifts differing for day and night staff
• Utilizes Epic EMR, Epic experience required
• Relias practice testing available before required day-one pass/fail assessments
• Role may involve providing coverage for ED and PACU holds as needed
• First-time travelers are eligible if they have Level 1 trauma experience
• Holiday coverage may be required per hospital policy
• Scrub or dress code requirements will be provided by the unit

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license in hand
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred; required if no prior travel experience
• Must be separated from previous employment at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility for at least 6 months
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• COVID vaccine with booster and flu vaccination required, with medical exemptions allowed
• Pass/fail day-one testing on Tele/ECG and medication administration required
