Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position, requiring an active MA RN license and evening shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the PACU of a hospital setting
• Assignment is 13 weeks in length
• 12-hour evening shifts are required
• Not open to local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
• Unit serves post-anesthesia recovery and may support pharmacy-related needs
• Responsibilities include caring for patients in the post-anesthesia care unit
• Successful completion of competency testing modules required prior to starting
• First-time travelers are accepted if all requirements are met
• Holiday coverage may be required based on schedule
• Scrub or dress code will follow hospital guidelines

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license must be in hand at the time of consideration
• Current required certifications (BLS, ACLS, as relevant for PACU; not specifically listed, but typical for PACU roles)
• Candidates must pass Tele/ECG and medication administration tests
• COVID-19 vaccine and booster, and flu vaccination required (medical exemptions allowed)
• Previous employment at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility requires a 6-month break before returning
