Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position, requiring an active MA RN license and evening shift availability.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the PACU of a hospital setting
- Assignment is 13 weeks in length
- 12-hour evening shifts are required
- Not open to local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
- Unit serves post-anesthesia recovery and may support pharmacy-related needs
- Responsibilities include caring for patients in the post-anesthesia care unit
- Successful completion of competency testing modules required prior to starting
- First-time travelers are accepted if all requirements are met
- Holiday coverage may be required based on schedule
- Scrub or dress code will follow hospital guidelines
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license must be in hand at the time of consideration
- Current required certifications (BLS, ACLS, as relevant for PACU; not specifically listed, but typical for PACU roles)
- Candidates must pass Tele/ECG and medication administration tests
- COVID-19 vaccine and booster, and flu vaccination required (medical exemptions allowed)
- Previous employment at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility requires a 6-month break before returning
