Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Rehabilitation Unit position requiring EPIC and BLS certification as well as MedSurg experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital-based Rehabilitation Unit
  • Small unit with 17 beds and a nurse to patient ratio of 1:5
  • 75% of patients are post-acute stroke, with others requiring cardiac, deconditioning, or acute rehab care
  • Rotating 12-hour shifts, alternating between days and nights
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
  • Floating within skillset required if census is low
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • EPIC is the EMR used and prior experience is required
  • Main patient population is post-acute stroke and acute rehab cases
  • Collaborate with a small, supportive team in a focused inpatient rehab environment
  • Must match skills to the demands of the Rehabilitation Unit
  • Holiday coverage may be assigned as needed
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate

Requirements

  • Active RN license (MD or Compact) in hand
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
  • Prior experience in a comparable rehab or med-surg setting
  • Experience in a facility with 500+ beds
