Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Rehabilitation Unit position requiring EPIC and BLS certification as well as MedSurg experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based Rehabilitation Unit
- Small unit with 17 beds and a nurse to patient ratio of 1:5
- 75% of patients are post-acute stroke, with others requiring cardiac, deconditioning, or acute rehab care
- Rotating 12-hour shifts, alternating between days and nights
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
- Floating within skillset required if census is low
- No on-call responsibilities
- EPIC is the EMR used and prior experience is required
- Main patient population is post-acute stroke and acute rehab cases
- Collaborate with a small, supportive team in a focused inpatient rehab environment
- Must match skills to the demands of the Rehabilitation Unit
- Holiday coverage may be assigned as needed
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Active RN license (MD or Compact) in hand
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Prior experience in a comparable rehab or med-surg setting
- Experience in a facility with 500+ beds
