Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with at least 1.5 years of experience and required DC licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a Trauma 1, teaching hospital
• Patient ratios are typically 1:4-5
• Primarily serves a diverse emergency patient population
• Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:30–08:00)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• No floating between like units and no on-call requirements
• Uses Cerner Sorian 1st generation EMR system
• This is a Trauma 1 and teaching hospital environment
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Parking is available at personal expense or via public transportation nearby
• Holiday coverage is required for every other holiday
• No block scheduling is permitted for this assignment

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent ER nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
• Proof of SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two supervisor references required
• Must be absent from previous employment at the facility for at least one year to be eligible
