Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with 1.5 years of ER experience and a DC RN license for a night shift position at a Level I trauma teaching hospital.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I trauma, academic teaching hospital
• Patient ratios are typically 1:4-5
• Night shift position, four 12-hour shifts per week (19:30–08:00)
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required
• No floating required between like units
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Cerner Sorian 1st generation for charting
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Must be able to provide two supervisor references for consideration
• Staff who have previously worked at this facility must have a one-year break before returning
• Holiday coverage is based on rotation and schedule
• Parking is available at a cost, and public transportation options are nearby

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and TNCC required
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
