Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with a NM or compact license and ACLS/BLS certification for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital on the Medical-Surgical Unit, with potential float to Rehab
• Day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Patient ratio is 1:6
• Floating and call are required
• EMR system is MedHost, prior experience preferred
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated if requested
• Primary responsibilities include providing medical-surgical nursing care for adult patients
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Scrub color is any color
• Holiday coverage may be required as part of the assignment
• First-time travelers are accepted

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is preferred
• Fingerprinting required for all NM travelers
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• No current or prior permanent employment at a CHS facility within the past 2 years
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• No local travelers; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
