Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a Magnet, Level II Trauma acute care setting, requiring a current CA RN license and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit within an acute care hospital
• Patient population includes telemetry and medical-surgical cases
• Facility is a Magnet hospital and a Level II Trauma Center
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–07:30)
• Floating required to other ICU/Tele and Med/Surg Tele units as needed
• Electronic charting using Cerner is required
• No on-call required during the assignment
• Weekend shifts are required
• Locals are accepted
• Role may include providing care in ICU/telemetry settings as needed
• Scrubs must be professional with no camouflage or character patterns
• Free parking is available onsite
• Up to 5 days of requested time off and one holiday off are allowed if submitted before an offer
• Coverage for scheduled holidays may be required
• Assignment may be canceled if three shifts are missed
• Block scheduling and specific schedule requests cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active and current CA RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Tele RN experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• First-time travelers will be considered
