Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in California requiring a CA RN license and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a PCU within an acute care hospital setting
• Magnet-designated, teaching, Level II trauma center
• Patient population includes progressive care and may float to ICU, telemetry, or med/surg telemetry units as needed
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Weekend shifts are required
• No on-call required
• Uses Cerner for charting
• No specific scrub color required, but camouflage or character patterns are not permitted
• Holiday coverage required, with up to 5 days of RTO and 1 holiday off approved
• Block scheduling or specific schedule requests cannot be accommodated
• Free parking available
• Local candidates are accepted
• Assignment may be canceled after three missed shifts

Requirements

• Current and active CA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a relevant hospital setting
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Willingness to float within scope to other ICU, telemetry, and med/surg telemetry units as needed
• First-time travelers are accepted
