Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring an active TN or compact RN license and AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 23-bed Medical/Surgical unit caring for adults ages 18 and older
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
• Patient population includes those with acute medical or surgical conditions requiring observation or inpatient acute care
• Night shift from 18:45 to 07:15
• Unit staff includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns
• RNs assume full responsibility for patients on their team
• Reference checks and license verifications are required for consideration
• Holiday coverage or weekend shifts may be expected based on unit needs
• All candidates must follow facility-specific radius rules, with local candidates eligible at a reduced rate
• Covid vaccination is no longer required
• First-time travelers may be considered

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• NIH certification recommended
• Must provide US Social Security Number and US home address
