Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Ortho Med/Surg travel position requiring a TX or compact license and at least one year of recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in an orthopedic/medical surgical department within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Ortho and general med/surg patient population
- Deliver nursing care to orthopedic and med/surg patients in a collaborative hospital environment
- Team environment with support from multidisciplinary staff
- Professional appearance required per hospital dress code
- Travelers are required to strictly adhere to the 50 mile radius rule
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Minimum of one year recent experience in orthopedic or medical surgical nursing
- Current AHA or ARC BLS certification required, with no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment
- U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- At least one reference required; more may be needed if licensed in certain states
