Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio requiring a current OH or compact license, with strong telemetry skills and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Cares for patients requiring progressive/step-down level of acuity with estimated nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Required to work weekdays, some weekends, and rotating holidays
• Must float to units with equal or lower acuity when needed
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Main responsibilities include providing high-acuity nursing care and monitoring telemetry patients
• Must be comfortable floating as needed within designated units
• Team environment with support from experienced staff
• Holiday work required on a rotating basis

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years PCU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficient in IV starts and telemetry skills
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
