Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position in Michigan, requiring a MI RN license and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Progressive Care Unit with cardiac and post-procedural patient population
• Shift is 7:00 pm – 7:30 am, three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend and holiday rotation
• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
• Familiarity with cardiac progressive drips and dressing changes is necessary
• Online modules to be completed onsite prior to start date
• Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation
• Communicate relevant patient and family information with the healthcare team
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• All time off requests must be communicated before assignment begins; post-offer requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Dress code and scrub color not specified

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required for consideration
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Progressive Care is required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is mandatory
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to perform a wide range of professional nursing services and formulate effective care plans
• Must complete hospital background check and drug screening prior to start
• COVID vaccination is required
