Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

Work in the Emergency Department of a trauma-level hospital
Patient population includes adults and pediatrics with a focus on trauma cases
Day/Night rotation or Mids/Nights shifts required, 36 hours per week
Provide emergency care for trauma, pediatric, and adult patients in a high acuity setting
Must maintain active licensure and certifications throughout the assignment
First-time travelers will be considered if they meet the trauma experience requirements

Requirements

Active NH or compact RN license required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
Must have recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years
ICU and pediatric experience preferred
Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility; no local candidates will be considered

Pros

1:4 patient ratio, usually staffed well enough. Management are great to work with and supportive.

Cons

First to float like every other facilities but usually works out better! Many long term patients there because care homes are not enough or properly staffed for the degree of illness.
