Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a pediatric behavioral health and med surg position requiring BLS, PALS, and at least one year of travel experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Behavioral Health unit with pediatric patients
• Patient ratios are typically 1:3 or 1:4 as in other inpatient units
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
• Med Surg and behavioral/psychiatric nursing experience required
• Same rate for local and non-local candidates
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Nicotine-free campus with nicotine testing required
• The facility maintains a supportive hospital environment focused on pediatric behavioral health
• Floating to other inpatient pediatric units may be expected

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required (American Heart Association)
• At least one year of travel nursing experience required
• Minimum of one year RN experience
• Behavioral/psychiatric and med surg experience required
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred
• Date of birth and Social Security Number required for consideration
• Two references from a supervisor level or higher within the past 12 months required
