Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of neurological case experience and current ARRT registration for a position at a comprehensive stroke facility.

Responsibilities

• Work in an interventional radiology department at a comprehensive stroke facility
• Focus on neurological cases and vascular/interventional radiology procedures
• Patient population includes adult neurological and vascular cases
• Shift is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
• May require overtime and on-call coverage
• Use Siemens imaging technology and Cerner EMR
• Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
• Responsible for sterile prep, assisting the physician, patient prep, scrubbing in, and 3D imaging
• Duties include contrast preparation, equipment and supply setup, patient assessment, and radiation safety practices
• Must complete online modules onsite prior to assignment start and achieve a passing score
• Quality assurance, PACS, and RIS documentation are part of daily responsibilities
• May assist with training new personnel or students in the department
• Report to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of committing to assignment
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• All requested time off must be declared prior to assignment; requests after offer require management approval

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology with neurological case exposure
• High school diploma or GED required
• Active ARRT registration in CI, VI, or CV subspecialty required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Experience with Siemens equipment and Cerner EMR preferred
• Must hold an active MI state license if applicable
• COVID vaccine is mandatory
