Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for night shifts, requiring travel nursing experience and multiple certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department (ED) of a hospital setting
• Care for a diverse range of emergency patients, with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:1–2+
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend work required
• Must be willing to float to other campuses if census drops
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• On-call may be required, with a one-hour return time to the facility
• Responsibilities include comprehensive emergency care, managing complex patients, and providing triage
• Travelers must make up all missed shifts and find coverage if unavailable on scheduled weekends
• Former permanent employees must wait 6 months before being eligible for consideration
• First time travelers are not considered for this position

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC
• Experience with airway management, vented patients, artline and central line management, IV drip management, dysrhythmias, and isolation precautions
• Proficiency in triage within ER/ER Holding
• Experience with electronic charting systems
