Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a MN state license, trauma level III experience, and rotating day/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 15-bed Emergency Department with 4 fast track rooms and 1 triage area in an acute care hospital setting
• Trauma level III environment with annual ED visits of approximately 28,000 or higher
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:3 or 1:4
• Uses EPIC EMR and Accudose medication dispensing; EPIC experience preferred but training provided
• 12-hour rotating day/evening/night shifts with every other to every third weekend and holiday coverage required
• Floating to Medical-Surgical units as needed
• No on-call requirement
• Scrub color is navy blue
• Responsible for the full nursing process including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
• Never work alone; support and teamwork emphasized within the department
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Holiday and every other weekend shifts are part of the regular schedule
• Returning candidates must have at least a 6-month break from previous employment at any Sanford Health location
• Local candidates within 80 miles are eligible, with compensation adjustments applied

Requirements

• Active MN state RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Experience in a trauma level III or higher emergency department preferred
• Experience with similar patient volumes (28,000+ annual ED visits) required
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC
