Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with a valid CA license and Cerner charting experience to work night shifts in the ED.
Responsibilities
- Position is within the Emergency Department (ED) as a Case Manager
- Work setting is an acute care hospital
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00
- Uses Cerner EMR, experience required
- No blocked or self-scheduling allowed
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Responsibilities include managing patient cases in the ED
- Return staff must have been gone for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- No RTO (requested time off) allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment
- Once submitted, requested time off cannot be changed
- First-time travelers may be considered based on experience
- Holiday coverage and shift flexibility required as per hospital needs
Requirements
- Active and valid CA RN license required at the time of consideration
- Minimum of two years of RN case management experience required
- At least one year of full-time experience in an acute care setting
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Pass/fail EKG exam required, up to three attempts allowed
- Must provide at least one supervisory reference from the last year from the relevant specialty
