Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring a FL or compact license and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital
• Patient ratios are 1:4-5
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 18:45 to 07:15
• Required to work every other weekend, with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Floating may be required to other units or locations within the health system
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• All time-off or scheduling requests must be provided up front
• Free parking is provided with a decal given at orientation
• Scrubs must be the same color top and bottom, with no logos or prints

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience
• Valid ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references from recent supervisors, charge nurses, managers, or directors within the past year are required
• Flu vaccination required during flu season, with medical or religious exemptions accepted
• Applicants must not have worked in an internal contracted position with the health system within the past year
