Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with the ability to scrub and circulate, NJ or compact license required, for a Level 2 trauma center assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a Level 2 trauma center
• Night shifts (3x12 hours), 19:00 to 7:30
• Call required 2 times per schedule
• Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating for all OR specialties except open heart
• Cases include robotic, ENT, ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro procedures
• Uses Epic for charting
• Scrubs provided
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Team provides care for a diverse surgical patient population in a dynamic trauma environment
• Work history and skills checklist specific to scrubbing and circulating must be provided
• Returning employees must have a one-year break in service before eligibility for travel roles

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Operating Room experience required
• Experience in robotic, ENT, ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro cases required
• Ability to both scrub and circulate required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Must not have been employed by RWJBH system in the last year
