Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for night shifts with ARRT registration or eligibility and MR certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital MRI department
• Night shift schedule on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM
• Handles both adult and pediatric patients requiring MRI imaging
• Operates MRI scanners, automatic injectors for MRI contrast, PACS, and laser printers
• Responsible for administering oral and IV contrast according to established protocols
• Utilizes EPIC and PACS for imaging workflow and documentation
• Responsible for verifying patient identification and history, including pregnancy status when applicable
• Adheres to strict safety and procedural protocols for MRI operations and contrast administration
• Ensures accuracy in charge information, order management, and patient demographics in all imaging systems
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment and participates in quality improvement initiatives
• May be involved in precepting new employees and students
• Punctual completion of tasks, and willingness to assist with complex procedures and research
• Drug screen and background check required within prescribed timeframes prior to start
• Scrubs or dress code requirement not specified

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science
• Registered or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences (ARRT)
• Advanced certification in MRI required within one year of employment
• Maintain annual registry status and continuing education as required
• Current HCP BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
