Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with a night shift schedule and Ohio or compact RN license requirement.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Tele unit
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00pm – 7:30am
• Patient care for medical/surgical and telemetry cases
• Locals are accepted at the same bill rate
• Participation in pre-start and annual competency modules is required and tracked via Silkroad
• Must complete onsite fingerprinting and badge pickup prior to start date
• PAPRs will not be considered an alternative for those with facial hair except with an approved exemption
• Assignments may not exceed 18 consecutive months; a 6-month break is required before returning, unless an extension is mutually agreed upon
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return within one year of their previous end date at this health system
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from the nicotine-free facility requirement
• Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start
• Holiday coverage may be required depending on the unit's needs

Requirements

• Active Ohio or compact RN license in hand prior to consideration
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Current certifications must be active with nothing pending
• At least one supervisory reference in the nursing specialty is required
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments must be passed during orientation within two attempts
• No open background cases or license hits will be accepted
• BG (background) hits are reviewed, but open cases are not allowed
• BCI/FBI fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract
