Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry float pool position requiring an active IL RN license and strong cardiac experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a float pool covering Cardiac Telemetry, Med-Surg, Neuro/Stroke, Step-Down ICU, and CPCU units within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient populations include cardiac, stroke/neuro, step-down, and adult med-surg cases
• Floating among several telemetry and step-down units required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards
• Develop and execute individualized plans of care with patient and family instruction
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities
• Utilize clinical expertise to support various units and departments
• Maintain accurate patient documentation according to standards of care

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Extensive cardiac experience required
• COVID-19 vaccination required as per facility policy
